Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
I am located in at 46D Sams Point Rd. Beaufort SC 29907. The airport I use is KARW. Click on Goggle Maps.
What are some of the advantages of training in my PA46 as opposed to using a simulator?
You learn and practice in real time. You and I will operate your Meridian or Malibu in the actual ATC environment. You must integrate weather and situational awareness with traffic, airplane system anomalies and ATC instruction and still perform to FAA standards. These airplanes have several different avionics packages. A simulator can only replicate one, which is normally different than yours.
What other type of flight training do you do?
I concentrate on recurrent training in the Piper Meridian/Malibu, but I am approved for numerous other turboprops.
Do you offer an ATP rating program?
Yes.
Why should I choose your school?
90% of my new students are referred by my former students. My goal is to train safe, proficient pilots. I'm also consistent. I don't want another job. I enjoy teaching and I'm the only person teaching here.
Will you train me at my location?
Yes, of course.
Will you train me in my airplane?
Yes, but please verify that I am on your insurance policy.
Do I need to list you on my insurance?
Yes, as additional insured with a waiver of subrogation.
Are you approved by my insurance company?
Yes, but call your agent to verify. Occasionally, low time pilots or a high liability policy require simulator training.
Where can I get a rental car?
If you are flying into Savannah, there are numerous rental companies at the airport.
Enterprise Rental Car - Offering discount rental cars.
Sensible Rent-A-Car at (843) 521-9498. They will leave the car at the Beaufort County Airport (KARW) for pick-up.

How much do you charge?
$1500 for the Recurrent Training and $2500 for Initial Training.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required for simulator training and a $1000 non-refundable deposit is required if I travel to your location. The deposit can be applied to any program if you have to cancel but reschedule within 30 days.
